Need an opinion!!

So anyone that might have stopped by my blog knows I really dig taking pictures. The only problem is sometimes I think they look fabulous when I take the shot and later I hate them. Well I am trying to learn settings on my camera so I have been taking pictures of things that are still and I can get my exposure right. So if anyone would like to share their opinions good or bad of my recent flower shots I would really appreciate it.

I have so much more to learn and I don't want to get stuck taking the same old pictures. This is also not a solicitation for praise. I just want to know what people think.

I like all the pictures really. I think it all depends on what you are taking them for.
The first two I like because the exposure seems a little muted and the filter you used makes them look like an antique canvas almost. The third flower I like the vibrant color, but not sure I would use the same filter on it as the first two.

There ya have it, my two cents. What ever they are worth?? :)

I know NOTHING about this stuff so I'm just commenting as a lay-person just looking at pictures of flowers. Picture 1 is my favorite. I love everything about it. I also like the 3rd picture, like Torrie, because of the vibrant color and the muted colors in the background. I'm not crazy about the middle picture at all. I don't know why; it just doesn't do anything for me. Hugs, Shel

I love the crisp clearness of the flower backed up to the blur on the last picture.

I don't know if you are to hard on yourself or I'm just not seeing what you see, I think your pictures are beautiful! It looks like you added a texture or something to the flowers, I love it. I must say I have learned a lot about photography by watching you and asking questions, two people can see the same picture and get different thoughts..I think you take great pictures, one can always improve in ones work, However, you need to see the skill/beauty in the pictures you take and start believing in yourself! Stop doubting your gift that God has blessed you with. Are you sure you wanted my opinion??

umm, love all 3. I think you have an amazing gift and I am guessing that your nervousness comes from the fact that this gift is so new for you. hum, when will I ever find my gift?!

I appreciate the extreme depth you have in them. the bottom pink flower has the most and helps you focus more on the clarity of the flower. I do like the treatment you have on the first two. I don't know if you have used a photo shop canvas effect or a lens but it gives it a more whimsical quality which is lovely and gives it to a more professional look.
