Sometimes I really love this man.

I don't talk about Daniel much but I just really want to say that he really is my biggest fan. Everything I do he thinks is just amazing. What more could a woman want. When we aren't talking about money or his ego we have the most fun together. I can honestly say that sometimes even after 12 years he can walk into a room and I still get butterflies. Usually he has his pilot uniform on, but that is besides the point. I love him the most when I catch him looking at his McDreamy hair.

Just spent spring break down at my parents house and we just had a wonderful relaxing time. The kids were able to get outside and not have their brains turned to mush from video games. Of course I tried to get out and take some pictures, but sadly I was not feeling that creative so here are just a couple of the week.

This last one is for my friend Shelley who loves a good chocolate. I am in quite the mood so I am going to do a little redecorating. I am going to add some color to the house and redo the boys room. I am not going to be so afraid. So I will upload pictures of the living room and the boys room when I am done. I will try to remember to take before and after shots. These two pictures are my mom and I making pillows out of napkins from Pier One for two dollars and my mantle. It needs some color so any suggestions would be nice.

Not so much fun!!

I am not so much fun today. I feel like I let the kids down to day. Bought Easter treats for Carson's class, drove to school, ordered some vinyl, jumped on the trampoline, pushed on the swing, did some Easter Egg dying, gave a Easter lesson, drove to drama, gave baths and worked on some pictures. But some days it feels like it is never enough. Ate too many chocolate covered raisins, drank too much diet coke, even had a doughnut. Nothing makes you feel better about yourself than over eating.
I did have some fun yesterday when I was babysitting and I decided to take some pictures of Jaden's friend Gracie. Had to feed her jelly beans for every picture and by the end she kept telling me it was not her birthday. (Her mother explained that comment later) But I thought they turned out nice and it is always fun to see what you can create with your camera, a cute child and photoshop.

I also bought some presets off the internet today and thought I could figure out how to use them and an hour and a half later realized that I did not know how to use them. I am very glad that I am taking a photo shop class in April. Also found a new site that I love because they really combine all the elements of photography that I love and the people there love to share their photos. http://pinkinkstudios.com/blog/

Faking spring!!

Well it is the gloomiest day ever here in Indiana so I decided to take a picture of my centerpiece for my kitchen table and pretend it was spring.
I really do not know how much more of this I can take. If the sun came out I know I would be thinner. We had 11 minutes total of sunshine in January. How can you sustain life that way? I have tried to stay busy but I can tell the kids even feel it. I have never let them play video games so much in their lives. There is only so much inside play I can think of. Any suggestions just in case there is no end in sight?

I am obsessed

I can't believe how much there is to learn out there. Since I have been blogging a whole new world has opened up to me and I spend way to much time trying to learn it all. So tonight after a long day of everyone not feeling well and ordering pizza as a cop out to making diner I sat down and tried to learn how to do a mosaic. I have loved them ever sense I saw them on a friends blog and then again on flickr. So lets see if this works.

Okay so it did work. I found the mosaic maker and it was rather simple. I cannot wait for the photoshop class that I am taking in April, I think it will add alot to the pictures that I take. Well my friend Kim has moved and I already miss her. We spent a lot of creative time together and a lot of time just talking. I hope she will have an easy move and find her grove soon. I am still selling my frames and canvas down at the store downtown. I am also still working for Steiner Homes helping people pick out the style they want for their homes. I also found a new blog today that was very inspiring. http://www.aliedwards.typepad.com/

The weather is finally getting good and I can't wait to go outside to take more pictures. Jaden is so tired of me taking pictures that he says "No more pictures mommy, I don't like it." That is his new thing for everything. "I don't like it." Today I found him standing up to go to the bathroom. Not standing on the floor but standing straight up on the rim of the toilet peeing. He said "I stand up mommy." Needless to say a messy pee. I guess it is better than in his pants.

I keep trying

I keep trying to take all different kinds of pictures. Carly had a slumber party and this one was one of the best pictures of the night. I keep trying to learn more about photo shop and how to make pictures lovely. I keep trying to potty train Jaden. I keep trying to not loose my temper at the littlest things. I keep trying to not eat sugar. I keep trying to pay more attention to my husband. I keep trying to be the person that I want to be. I keep trying to not laugh outloud when Carson tells me that Jesus does not live because he has looked for him in church and he can't find him. I keep trying to tell Soren that he does not have to play the WII every minute of the day. (Even though I have decided that it is good exercise because he comes up stairs sweating because he has been boxing long and hard)

So everyday I am going to keep trying to do what I enjoy so that my family enjoys me more.
I am still working on textures and today on flickr I found a photographer who was willing to share her textures with the rest of us. The texture is how the picture is shaded green for those of you who don't know what I a talking about.
